The Select field will add a dropdown select box of choices for the content authors to pick from. 

Define the options available in the dropdown in the configuration of this field.


Assign the Select field a Field name that will display in the entry editor and an API ID. 

You can add placeholder text to the select field in the Field placeholder option. For example, “Select one…”  

The options available in the select to content writers is configured in the Options field. Simply add one option per line and they will appear in the order you define.

Finally, you can click the checkbox to have the first value in the Options list used as the default value.
