Here we will go through how to create a data table using a repeating group of text fields.

Add the table to your Custom Type

If you need a table in your custom type, start by adding a group field. Then add a Key Text field (or a Rich Text field) to the group for each column you need in the table.

Here is the JSON code for a three-column table:

{
  "Main": {
    "table": {
      "type": "Group",
      "config": {
        "fields": {
          "cell_1": {
            "type": "Text",
            "config": {
              "label": "Cell 1"
            }
          },
          "cell_2": {
            "type": "Text",
            "config": {
              "label": "Cell 2"
            }
          },
          "cell_3": {
            "type": "Text",
            "config": {
              "label": "Cell 3"
            }
          }
        },
        "label": "Table"
      }
    }
  }
}

Save your Custom Type.

Fill in the table in your document

When adding your table content to your documents, just add a new group element for each row that you want in your table.

Integrate the new Table field to your website application

Keep in mind that this will simply create the structure you need for a table. You (or your development team) will need to create the code necessary to build out the table in your website application.
